Step 1: Setup and safety
Before using the heat press, make sure that the machine is securely placed on a stable and level surface. Ensure that there is enough space around the machine to operate it safely. Next, plug in the machine and turn it on. The heat press should begin to warm up.
While waiting for the machine to heat up, make sure to wear protective gear such as heat-resistant gloves and safety glasses to avoid burns and other injuries.
Step 2: Prepare your material
Choose the item you want to print on and prepare it for pressing. For example, if you want to print a design on a T-shirt, make sure it is clean and wrinkle-free. Pre-press the item for a few seconds to remove any moisture or wrinkles.
Step 3: Set the time, temperature.
Press the settings button once to enable temperature setting, use the plus and minus to set the temperature. Then press the settings button again to change to time settings, set the time (in seconds) you would like the heat press to run at that temperature. Then press the settings button again and the heat press will begin to heat up.
Step 4: Place your material on the lower platen
Once the machine has reached the desired temperature, it's time to start printing. Open the heat press and place your material on the lower platen. Make sure it is centered and flat.
Step 5: Place the transfer paper on top of the material
Place the transfer paper on top of the material with the printed side facing down. Make sure it is also centered and flat.
Step 6: Close the heat press
Close the heat press by pulling down the handle until it locks in place. Make sure the pressure is evenly distributed on the material.
Step 7: Wait for the machine to beep
Wait for the machine to beep or for the recommended time to elapse, then open the heat press by lifting the handle. Use caution, as the material and platen will be hot.
Step 8: Remove the transfer paper
Carefully remove the transfer paper from the material. The design should now be transferred onto the material.
Step 9: Cool down and clean up
Let the material cool down before handling it. Once it has cooled, remove it from the lower platen. Clean the platen and any residue left on it from the transfer paper using a heat press cleaning solution or a damp cloth.
